Luverne Back Pack Program

The program provides at-risk children with nutritious, easy-to-prepare food every weekend during the school year and throughout the summer when school meal programs are not accessible. Staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers, the program currently serves approximately 125 children, ranging in age from preschool through 12th grade.

For the 2026 school year, the cost is approximately $300 per student, totaling an estimated $40,000 annually to operate the program.
